Welcome to the home of Peterborough Paintball

This site is dedicated to creating a tighter paintball community in the Peterborough area. This happens to be the Peterborough in Ontario, Canada. So if you're from the UK or the US Peterborough, you're welcome to look around, but this is probably not what you're looking for.

Its the middle of the season, and its raining a lot. I started off the 2009 season back in February, playing a lot of woodsball at a friends farm. Between mid February and the end of March I was out a dozen times, had a lot of good games, even if I was slogging through wet snow for a few of them. At the end of March my first child entered the world, and I haven't really played since. Well, there was the one game I played in April with the great lads of Acer Paintball! These fellows run a great game, and usually host 2 to 3 a month. Its $5 to play, and worth every penny. Go check out there site.

Finally, last year a new store opened in Peterborough, oddly enough, called Peterborough Paintball, or PPB. Beyond the obvious name conflict, its a great store, with great prices. So good, I offered to start hosting a page for him. You can check that out here. I also gave him his own area on the message board. Honestly, you should just drop by his store and check it out, as his prices are the lowest on most items around Peterborough, and comparable to Toronto at the much bigger stores.

Well, its 2008, and I intend to put some more effort into this board, and this community this spring. I started this later in the season than I meant to in 2007, and a lot of things came up. I personally only managed to play 5 games last year, only 1 really good one. This year I expect to play a whole lot more.

I also want to see this community grow; currently we have 24 members, I would love to see more than 100 by the end of the summer. All of you newer members, tell everyone you know, lets get more people on here, and lets get more local games going this year.

Finally, a new store has opened locally. I haven't personally had the opportunity to check it out yet (it was closed when I drove past), but check it out, lets support local paintball.

Happy birthday Canada! Shame I couldn't find a game to attend this weekend. Maybe next year.

Welcome to the opening of the Peterborough Paintball website, a website dedicated to building a better community of local paintballers in the Peterborough area.

Currently the only real content is the forum, which I highly encourage you to join and contribute to. Its a great way to organize games and meet new players. There is also a buy/ sell area, so if you're looking for gear, and want to sell some gear, check it out.

With the opening of this site already into the season I don't really expect great things quickly. I do hope to see atleast one largeish organized game before September is over however. So if you have land, know people with land, or just want to join into a big game, please sign up on the forum and speak up. The only way to get involved is to, well, get involved.
